Fully restored and UK registered May 1944 Willys MB Jeep.
This Jeep has been extensively restored over the past 12 months with no stone un-turned and no expense spared.
I have a photo album containing 200 photos which can be displayed to the subsequent buyer and over 10k in receipts for parts UK V5 in hand with all important age related registration - OXS 8**.
This Jeep is late May 1944 example running original 6V electrical system.
Original & restored body tub - ACM2 style - Body number - 57317.
Tub has had new front floor, Rear floor & Rear panel and repair work elsewhere - All replacement panels were JMP made so excellent quality.
Body tub still has some bullet holes present from its past life.
Original and restored windscreen. New glass throughout.
Original and restored fenders.
Original and restored hood.
Chassis is original wartime unit which was sand blasted and restored.
New rear crossmember from JMP - Hot riveted as original. New front frame horns.
Really solid and square chassis still on original shocker mounts.
Correct wartime axles front and rear which have been extensively rebuilt.
NOS diff carrier and planetary gears in front axle.
All new brakes F&R.
New carrier bearings and pinion bearings on both F&R axles.
Both axles stripped and rebuilt properly - all new gaskets and seals throughout.
Correct wartime dated T84 transmission and D18 Transfer case fully rebuilt.
No expense spared on both Gbox and Tcase - built from bare casings with NOS parts sourced from Holland. Shifts and selects as intended with no jumping out of second on deceleration or coasting.
Post war L134 engine fitted.
Fully rebuilt unit which runs as sweet as a nut Block pressure tested and NDT inspected.
Crack free Block bored to .040 over , top deck and head skimmed , crank reground to 10/10, new pistons and rings, NOS main and big end bearings used.
New clutch and pressure plate - flywheel skimmed and new ring gear fitted New gaskets throughout.
Runs at good temperature with excellent oil pressure.
Original and restored 6V starter motor, shunt generator and distributor - work issue free and are correct wartime issue. Voltage regulator has a solid state circuit board instead of open contractor type.
Re-wired with an MV spares wiring harness with all correct circuit breakers etc.
5 post war rims fitted with 5 very nearly new 600x16 NDT tyres.
