Devon D Day 2018 2018 marks the 75th anniversary of this center opening and Friends of the Assault Training Center, Cobbaton Combat Collection and Devon Area MVT would like to invite you to join us in marking this occasion. On the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of June 2018 you will be staying at Cobbaton where camping will be free for vehicle owners and living history groups and on the Saturday you will be able to take part in a 30 mile round trip to the Braunton Burrows training area where you will drive along original American tracks, see some of the remaining concrete training structures and take part in a remembrance ceremony formed on the concrete LCT structures. After you will move to Saunton beach to display your vehicles etc to the public. On the return you will parade through Braunton village and then head back to Cobbaton for a BBQ.

Dig for Victory Show Rapidly becoming the South West's premier 40s event, The Dig For Victory Show is run by enthusiastic volunteers who create a unique and friendly atmosphere. The show brings history alive and the generations together to learn, remember and have fun. Now in it's 4th year, the show portrays a uniquely British scene depicting the Home Front during the war and encompasses all aspects of that time from vehicles, re-enactors, music, farming, food and fashion. On the Saturday night there's a fantastic Victory Dance in the Victory Marquee - a fabulous night of Big Band swing in the gorgeous Somerset countryside.
