The N.E.M.V.C. was officially formed in August 1972 by a small group of Jeep owning individuals and has grown over the years into a high profile well informed and organised club with the aim of preserving, restoring, using and exhibiting military vehicles of all periods. We are a large group who collect and restore vehicles from the Vietnam period. Among our vehicles we have Two replica Guntrucks which are the only ones in the UK and we believe that one of them is the only known type in the world, this makes us very unique in the military vehicle world. We also re-enact many different units from the Vietnam War. The group has won many awards at shows and we are renowned for our quality displays, Rolling Thunder has also helped with the making of TV programmes as well as putting on displays for the US Marines and US Air Force. |

The Garrison is a WW2 living history group which incorporates a number of different, more specific units. We have attended events all over the country, and also abroad. We reenact British WWII, Royal Artillery, Field, Anti-aircraft and Searchlight units. The Regiments portrayed are 489 Battery, 124th (Northumbrian) Field Regiment RA, 25th Light Anti Aircraft Regiment RA, both in 50th Tyne Tees Division and 301 Bty, 93rd (Mixed) Searchlight Regiment Royal Artillery. This ATS regiment was the only all female regiment in the History of the British Army. Our group equipment includes a large range of ww2 British military vehicles plus a full set of 25pdrs, a Bofors and a Mk1 150cm searchlight and generator. |
